Steph is the affiliate basher
Hi everyone. If you have something negative to comment on my layout, kindly email or leave a comment on my blog entries, instead of going to private forums and start bashing me. I think I will feel better if it is someone I don’t know who is bashing me on a private forum. Guess what I found this time.
Let me introduce my long-time affiliate, Steph. She has changed several hosts and I have also updated her link several times. However, up till now, she still have not update my link. Take a look at the screen capture below.
I have clearly stated at my “Link VS” page that if you want to link VS, you must use “http://violinstar.net” because previously the link “http://www.violinstar.net” does not work. I already informed her many times but she have not changed the link. What a “lovely” affiliate she is.
Just a sidejoke for programmers, do take note of the ‘<br>’ tag that she is using. Apparently she do not know what is XHTML after been a blogger for some time. Google for “XHTML 1.0 Strict” and you will know what I mean.
Here comes the “loveliest” part. At a private forum, she even bash me up on 13 July 2009, 3.06pm because of the poor layout I made.
Hope she’s not signed up here & hope she never does bc then I’ll be screwed.

She’s my affie, and she just commented my site saying “Hi. VS just changed a layout. What do you think?”
She’s not too good of an affie. She doesn’t really care about my blogs (not that I’m expecting her to, but she could at least show a little interest. Not just “Wow. I’m looking forward to your new layout.” yeah sounds like it.) But anyway.Her layouts are always SO UGLY. And I am NOT going to tell her what I think. Because it looks absolutely horrid. I can name a million things wrong with it. And Idk wtf she did to the Emma picture on the right. I used a picture like that for a desktop. It was ginormous and was amazing quality. So Idk how she managed to make it look all blurry like that. The picture on the right isn’t cut out very well. She always uses that same tacky font, and I dunno how the heck she thinks that rainbow gradient fits into all this. And then her side bar doesn’t even match the image! Do you SEE the colors?!
Omg it’s so annoying. There’s so many other things I could point out.
So like I said, if she ever sees this here… >.<

How will you feel if your affiliates are not telling the truth about your layouts and start bashing you up at private forums? Will you feel agitated, sad or speechless? If your affiliates are not telling you what you lacked (such as designing skills), then how likely are first-time visitors going to tell you? If no one tells you, then how is it possible for you to improve?
Please, just tell me what you think exactly about the layout via email or leaving a comment on my blog? Don’t go around bashing me up at private forums. Yes, I know we are living in a world where there is free speech. Be considerate. How would you feel if another person bash you up at a private forum? Instead of helping the person to improve his/her skills, why are you adding oil to the fire by bashing the person up, especially if she is one of your affiliate?
Anyway, I have removed the “lovely” Steph from my VS affiliate list.
I will leave you to decide if she is a good or bad affiliate then.
P.S. I realised that those who bash me up are using Cutenews as their blogging platform. Whoa. What a relationship. I have absolute no comments on such a relationship.
I confronted her. Lol. Thats just sick. I absolutely love your layouts (we must become affies). It’s so sick what she did to you. Btw, what forum was it?

It’s one thing to think they suck (I like them, TBH), but to go out and just bash someone on a forum is a little messed up – about an affiliate no less. It’s like a slap in the face, like – woah, I thought we were friends, kind of thing.
Don’t let her bother you, everyone else likes your layouts. ;DD

I’ll admit, it’s abit confronting to just post the criticisms you see on someone’s comment section (or even to email it to them), perhaps this is why she didn’t want to just tell you face to face. Though I thought the bashing was just really unnecessary. But perhaps you should also actually take the time to read her blog posts, and also comment on them.
Believe it or not, there is actual criticism among the bashing in her post. She’s right about the font, and the rainbow gradient. It just doesn’t really fit into the layout. You should try colour matching the text to the actual layout next time, and you should also try other fonts. :3
Yikes. what a loser. I just checked the image there, and the people who replied steph’s comment is mentally sick. Just ignore it. what a double bitch there in that forum. tsk.
Wow. That is really just sad. Great affiliate. If she hates your site so much, why was she affies with you? Geez. And even if you don’t like someones site you don’t go around bashing them. -.-
And oh wow @ the whole tag!! I fail at coding (to an insane degree), but even I know that it’s hehe. (And note that I’m just throwing that out there, too; if you can serve it, you can eat it!)

But, I think there are some points I would like to tell:
>> Is necessary you say the cutenews stuff? xD I don’t use it anymore because is really unsafe, I use wordpress for my blog and fusionnews for little updates in another sites (I don’t want to put my link you probably will think I want to advertise my site here, when I really want to tell my opinion XD)
>> I don’t like your style too much, but OMG you’re using wordpress, and coded in wordpress in kind difficult, and that’s something I really apreciate.
>> If you validate your HTML will find some errors, please try to correct them (but OMG is so difficult)
>> Try to use some colors more bright, I mean, don’t use that horrible green/yellow that everyone hates xD you know what I mean (you don’t use this colors ;’D don’t bother)
>> I like that your site is very well organized (l)
About her
>> Her layout /*sucks*/ is… . I really don’t like the layouts as wide as hers.I Don’t like her pallette of colours (at least you know what colors use XD)
And well… I don’t think it be necessary I tell this to her. Her actitude is very/SO/TOO bleeeh.. you know the word XD
